Missions Outreach at Victory Chapel
Missions Outreach at Victory Chapel in Winterveldt

This zinc and brick structure was the first building of Victory Chapel in Winterveldt, a small rural settlement 40 kilometres north of Pretoria, South Africa. Pastor Joel and Priscilla Sindane pastor this congregation.

Jan and Annika have ministered into this congregation for many, many years, and they have seen this congregation grow from this tiny building to a proper auditorium.

At the time this photograph was taken, this area was without running water or electricity. Most of the area is still the same. Many families living in this area still have to travel between 100 to 200 kilometres per day to get to work and back.

This little chapel is a "modern" structure compared to some of the "homes" people live in. Many of the "homes" are simply branches or wooden planks covered with zinc or plastic sheeting.

One evening while ministering here, we were attacked by thugs. This particular evening there was not even moonlight, and because there are no lights or electricity, we could not even see these attackers. But God is good and He protected us, so no-one was seriously injured or came to any harm.
